First candidate forum a big success!

The LWV Upper St Croix Valley hosted our first candidate forum in conjunction with the Friends of the Milltown Library at the Milltown Community Center on Tuesday September 20th. The event was attended by some 88 individuals and five candidates. We can all be very proud of the hard work that when into organizing and pulling off this first of many such forums. Steve Briggs and Carolyn Saunders did a great job putting this together with great attention to details. Their hard work has set up the framework for our next such event.

Our President, Marilyn Chesnik, welcomed the crowd and introduced our new chapter to the audience. Carolyn laid down the rules and Judge Ken Kutz did a dynamite job moderating the event. State Senate District 10 candidates Diane Odeen and Sheila Hardorf, and Assembly District 28 candidates Jeff Peterson, Vincent Zilka and Adam Jarchow took turns answering questions. The time keepers kept everyone on track and the candidates were very respectful of the time and comported themselves very well.  Thank you to everyone who made this event a standard to emulate in the future.

Here are a few snaps of the evenings event.
